Rock Drill Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate rock drills safely and efficiently
  according to mine standards.
• Conduct pre-use inspections of drilling
  equipment and tools.
• Perform drilling activities according to the
  approved mining plan.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, production and
  quality requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10/12 or equivalent qualification.
• Valid RDO Certificate.
• Valid Competent B Certificate.
• Relevant mining experience, preferably in
  trackless / conventional mining operations.
• Previous experience in drilling, blasting operations
  will be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of mining safety standards and
  procedures.
• Valid medical fitness certificate for underground
  work.
• Good understanding of workplace health and
  safety requirements.
• Ability to work shifts and under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
